 INTRODUCTION |

SPEED DEMONS of Florida City consists of TWO high quality go-kart tracks, game room, and
meeting/special events facility designed to meet the growing demand for
recreational facilities in the South Florida market. This is the
place for Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Guys and/or Girls Nights
Out, or simply an afternoon or evening out with the family.
At SPEED DEMONS, both tracks have been
professionally designed. The main track will challenge even the most
experienced driver with turns, curves, and straight-aways that will offer the
real racing experience. This track, approximately 1/4 mile in length,
can be utilized by those racers with a minimum age of 15.
The second track,
located on the building rooftop, can be utilized by younger and more
inexperienced racers. The minimum age to drive on this track is 8 years of age
and at least 48" tall. There are both adult and junior karts on
this track. The division of these two expertise levels will allow
everyone to enjoy a more pleasurable and rewarding Karting experience.

tracks will leave you wanting to RACE AGAIN!

SPEED DEMONS APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

The
goal at SPEED DEMONS is to offer a different experience than that
which is currently offered at many tracks. This facility is geared
towards racing with more focus on the recreational activity and the
fostering of friendly competition, while still maintaining the “racing”
excitement. The goal is to provide Speed Demons’ racers the ultimate
safe Karting experience to include the thrill of speed, the anticipation of the next
turn, and the raising of the checkered flag, but without the typical bumping and
banging experienced at many facilities.

KART
RACING - BACKGROUND & HISTORY
|

We thought that a little Karting History might be of interest to you. Kart
racing, formerly known as go-kart racing, began in 1957 when the first go-kart
was built by Art Ingles and Lou Bortella. What they soon discovered is that when
you have one kart, another is needed to race against. Thus the sport was born.
Kart racing consists
of two levels of interest – 1) Kart racing, the sport and 2) Kart
racing, the recreational activity. Karting is considered to be the
purest and fastest growing form of Motorsport. The sport welcomes
drivers from 8 years of age and up. Formula 1 drivers such as Michael
Schumacher, Jarno Trulli, and Juan Pablo Montoya, to name a few, were
all extremely successful Karters. Actually, a large percentage of
Formula 1, Indycar and V8 Supercar celebrities developed their skills in
the world of Kart racing. National and world organizations such as the
World Karting Association (WKA) and International Kart Federation (IKF)
regulate and sanction races. Karting is growing in popularity in America
due, in large part, to the success of NASCAR racing. It has remained an
extremely popular sport in Europe for many years.
Kart racing, the
recreational activity, is the approach taken by those enthusiasts who
have the “need for speed,” but like a more unstructured approach. These
are the participants who like to meet their friends at the track for a
little friendly competition. This is the experience that is
